We all know the holidays are upon us and it gets a little scary for those of us loosing weight! I mean who doesn't love to stuff themselves on Thanksgiving and then take a long snooze on the couch...I know I do!! Maybe some of you have also found yourself with a massive craving or just constant snacking with no reason why. I would most likely call it holiday nerves. I know it happens to me all the time. When I think of the upcoming holiday and how much I love all the food, I get nervous that I am going to take a giant step back and damage what I have accomplished. So I have decided to share with you some of the trick I have learned and do to avoid a Holiday weight set back:
1. Set a goal for your weight loss....whether it is to loose or maybe gain. Set the goal and write it down. (mine is to loose at least a 1/2 a lb at my weigh in on Tuesday.)
2. If you are currently having non stop snack attack. Stop and think of what has changed in your life lately that could lead to the eating. Stress, nerves, excitement....ect. Try to find a cause so then you can find a solution (if you need help let me know)
3. If you know what your craving is indulge in having it but at a good portion size. If you are craving pumpkin pie have a slice not the whole pie. Never deprive yourself of the things you love just control your intake. (for those of you doing WW that is what the allowance points were created for.)
4. If you slip up and eat more then you should don't beat yourself up. It happens, no one is perfect and everyone slips up. Just learn from it and get right back on track the next day....NO waiting until Monday to start over!!
5. Enjoy Thanksgiving!!! Eat the food and enjoy the time with family!!

I am back...for real this time!!!
Yes I know it has been almost 3 months sense I updated my blog. Life attacked me and has been keeping me really busy. I have quit my job at LFG and am now working at Massage Envy (which I walk 2.4 miles to each day) and going to school full time. My weight loss progress has been going well!! I have had my ups and downs but I am now down 38.2lbs!! I am so excited to hit 40 but it is still 1.8lbs away! I will get there though I know I will!!
One very exciting thing I have done is I ordered my WEDDING DRESS!! Back in April I tried on the dress of my dreams but I couldn't get it closed but by about 2 inches. When I ordered my dress on Oct. 10th I order a dress two sizes smaller then the original!!! It is about an inch to small but I am going to loose more weight. Since I ordered my dress I am down 8.2 pounds more and I want to be down 24 more by the time it comes in. Slow and Steady wins the race!!
I will hopefully be able to update this more now. The holidays are coming up and I really want to share with you the ways I am making sure I weight less on January 1st than I do today. I will try to share recipes, exercise tips and more!! I really want to help you feel good about the holidays and not worried or stressed about your weight!! If you have any question or just need some motivation just let me know!! I would love help you or be your accountability partner!

I'm Back!!
It has been a busy last 2 weeks. Where to start?? Well, I went to Chicago on the 23rd of July and it was awesome!! It was such a great experience with such great people! I will have to do a post just on that in the next coupleof days. But to update you on the weightloss journey. When I went to Chicago my plan was just eat what I want but try to control my portion size. HAHA!! That didn't happen! I ate everything that was in front of me plus snacks! However, I did drink tons of water and walk a bunch. When I got back on the following tuesday my plan was to weigh in on Wednesday. That didn't happen because I was barely awake at all on wednesday. So I went in Thursday during my lunch. I was really nervous to step on the scale but when I did to my surprise I was down one pound! :o) I was excited but what I did next was not smart...lol. I didn't get back on plan right away and I didn't work out. I ate like I ate when I was in chicago and when I step on the scale it showed. I was up 1.2bls today. I did expect to be up so I didn't get to down about it. I knew I hadn't worked out or eaten right.
So today I start again. I know if I work out and eat right this week I will loose the 1.2 and possibly more. I went to the grocery store today and got all healthy foods. One week of set backs is not going to slow me down. I am only 3lbs from 20lbs lost and only 6lbs from my 10%. I am going to keep pushing forward!! So until next time, Keep Smiling!! :o)

Vacation bound and eating like a hound!!
OMGosh!! I am having a major eat everything in site day!! :o( I am heading to Chicago tommorrow and by the way I am eating you would think I was already on vacation. Well I am not!! :o) I think I have been worried about my eating while I am on vacation and the possiblity of gaining weight and there for I have stressed myself into eating alot now!! The good thing is I am not eating stuff that is really bad for me I am just eating good stuff in excess, which is never good! There is nothing I can do about what I have already consumed, so I am going to try to not let it get me down and jsut focus on the days ahead. I am going to go into this vacation prepared to watch my portion size but that is it. I am just going to enjoy myself and the food. I will just have to work alittle harder when I get back!!
On a totally different note, Blake and I got approved for the apartment we want to move into!! YAY!! We are so excited, but when we call today to see if we were approved the lady told us yes but we can only hold the apartment for 15 days! WHAT!?! 15 DAYS!! Well we were alittle in shock because our lease isnt' up until the end of ABelugust. So as of August 5th we will be in possession of 2 apartments. However, Blake and I are looking on the bright side, we don't have to rush into moving. We can take our time and sort through all our crap because we are going from a 2 bedroom to a 1 bedroom!! The best part of it is the fact that we will FINALLY have a washer and dryer included in our apartment. No more paying for laundry!!!! YAY!

Eating What?!?!.....
Oh my have I not been good!! So for Weight Watcher, for those of you who don't know about it, you have a set amount of points each day. Well I haven't been keeping track very well this week and even this morning I packed my own breakfast and still ate the donut at church! Oops! I don't really have a limit on what I can eat. It is just I have a limit to how much and there are certain things I should be eating everyday, Like fruit and veggies, dairy products and such. I will be interested to see what the scale says this week.
However, Yesterday I did bust my but on a 40 minute Turbo Jam Cardio Party!! I love it! It makes me great!! I have started to put more intensity into my work out and am getting better with my moves. To be honest though I didn't feel like working out yesterday but you just have to remember the way you feel after. All your energy comes from within, it is a mental thing. Today I going to do little Turbo Sculpt and work on building those muscles!! I love the results I get not only physical but also mental!! So I am going to keep trucking along even when I just want to quit. So off I go!!

Ready to Go!!
Hi All!! I am so excited to share this journey with you! I am one of millions of people that struggle with their weight. I have been riding the roller coaster of weight loss for many year. Especially after I had my Thyroid removed in 2005. I thought I had problems before then...not so much. After surgery and then moving from an active job to a desk job I gained 78lbs over about 2 yrs. I have been carrying that weight with me for about 3 years! :o(
Well New Year's Eve my wonderful boyfriend (now Fiance) proposed to me and I new it was time for the weight to come off! Every girl dreams of looking perfect in their dream dress and I am no different. I stumbled upon my dress in March and have loved it ever sense. It looks nice on me now but I want it to be jaw dropping on my wedding day! So on April 27th I started Weight Watcher at work. This is my second time doing WW and I love it. So far sense April I am down 16lbs. What a difference it has made not only in the way I look up also the way I feel!!
Along with WW I have also been working out at least once a day if not twice. I have become a crazy workout lady!! :o) I do the elliptical during lunch and then I come home and do Turbo Jam!! Yes I bought Turbo Jam of an infomercial about 4 yrs ago. I never really got into it then. But I LOVE it now!! I totally recommend it to anyone who is looking for a fun workout that you can do in the privacy of your own home. Also if you like the gym environment they have a class called Turbo Kick!! AWESOME!! It is a great program invented by Chalene Johnson! She is extremely motivation and I can't wait to get home and workout!!
Okay I will get off my little rant. I started off with walk/run and I still do it every once in a while when the heat index isn't over 100 degrees. The reason I started this blog is to keep myself motivated. I figure if I track my progress and share it with people, I will be more motivated to continue. Also I want to motivate friends, family and anyone who wants to get in shape and feeling good! So if you ever need an encouraging word I will hopefully have one for you. Also, I will share my struggles because everyone struggles!! It just about pushing through the struggles to the goal!! So until next time!! Keep Smiling!!
